A carton closing staple is a specialized U‑shaped wire fastener designed to secure the flaps of corrugated cartons or boxes so they stay closed during shipping, storage, and handling.  Unlike office staples, carton closing staples are thicker, stronger, and engineered for cardboard or multi‑wall corrugated board, not paper.

Main Purpose

They are used to fasten the lid or flap of a carton to the body by piercing through the corrugated layers and clinching the legs under the flap. This creates a tight, secure hold that prevents accidental opening or damage to the contents.

How They Work

• Crown: The horizontal top section that spans the seam and holds the staple in place.
• Legs: Two vertical wire sections with pointed tips that pierce the corrugated flaps without tearing the board.
• Point: A sharp tip for clean penetration.
