Overview

Hex head wedge anchors are mechanical anchors used to fasten objects to solid concrete surfaces. They consist of a threaded stud, a hex nut, a washer, and an expansion clip that locks the anchor in place when tightened. These anchors are typically made from zinc-plated or stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance for long-term durability in demanding applications

Common Applications

Hex head wedge anchors are ideal for:

• Attaching 2x4s, sill plates, and structural supports to concrete
• Securing electrical, HVAC, and plumbing equipment
• Mounting metal doors, window frames, highway rails, and posts
• Tilt-up construction and seismic applications in uncracked concrete
  They are not suitable for stone, brick, or hollow masonry, as they require solid, cured concrete to achieve proper expansion and holding strength
