Driver Bit Holder
Bit Holder is sold individually and measures 1/4″ x 2-7/8″. It has a magnetic hold.
A magnetic bit holder securely holds drill or screwdriver bits, allowing for easy bit changes and one-handed screw placement.
Installing and Using a Magnetic Bit Holder
- Select the Correct Bit Holder: Ensure the magnetic bit holder is compatible with your drill or impact driver and the bit size you plan to use. Most holders use a 1/4-inch hex shank for quick-change chucks
- Insert the Bit: Push the bit into the magnetic holder until it clicks or is firmly seated. The magnet will hold the bit in place, while a retention ball or collar prevents wobbling
- Secure the Bit: For holders with a quick-release collar, push the bit in and allow the collar to snap forward. For simple magnetic friction holders, ensure the bit is fully inserted and aligned with the holder
- Drive Screws or Drill: The magnetic tip can hold screws in place, allowing one-handed operation. This is especially useful in tight or hard-to-reach spaces
Best Practices
- Use the magnetic holder for one-handed screw placement in tight spaces.
- Avoid forcing bits in or out to prevent jamming or damage.
- Regularly clean and inspect the holder to ensure smooth operation and longevity
